Meet Annelise Gruebmeyer - Continuing a Twelve‑Year Tradition of Hope and Hydration
Annelise has always had a heart for people experiencing homelessness. From a very young age, it would nearly break her heart whenever she saw someone without a place to call home. She would often ask her parents thoughtful, heartfelt questions, trying to understand why people didn’t have a home and wondering what could be done to help. Her compassion has never been about feeling sorry for others, it has always been about wanting to make a difference.
Over the years, Annelise has put that compassion into action by serving in ministries at her church that focus on caring for people experiencing homelessness. These experiences have deepened her desire to serve others with kindness, dignity, and love.
Now, Annelise is honored to continue the Annual Water Drive that Drew Thomas faithfully led for the past 12 years. Inspired by Drew’s example of serving others with kindness and purpose, she is committed to carrying this meaningful tradition forward by helping provide one of life’s most basic necessities, clean drinking water to our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
Every bottle of water represents more than hydration; it is a reminder that someone cares. Annelise hopes this annual drive will continue to bring our community together to share hope, compassion, and practical support with those who need it most.

For people experiencing homelessness, a single bottle of water can mean:
