How to help the homeless in Fort Worth

We are grateful for your generosity. To best serve our community, we ask that all donated items be new or gently used, clean, and in good working condition. Your kindness helps restore dignity and hope to those who need it most.

MAKE IT A HOME PROGRAM items needed (purple are most needed):

  • Kitchen items:

    • microwaves (countertop models only), toasters, silverware, cooking utensils, cutting boards (new only), Corel dish sets preferred

    • coffee makers (working and all pieces included)

    • pots & pans (not scratched/burned)

    • kitchen & bathroom garbage cans (new only)

  • Cleaning Supplies (new only):

    • brooms, dustpans, mops

    • laundry pods (pods only), dishwasher tablets

    • toilet bowl cleaner

    • cleaning agents (comet, dish detergent, Lysol), sanitizing wipes

    • sheet sets or bed in bags (full & twin sizes)

  • Linens (new only):

    • sheet sets or bed in bags (full & twin sizes)

    • bathmats (new only)

    • Towels - Bath, Hand, Washcloth (New or gently used)

  • Paper Products (new only):

    • toilet paper, paper towels

  • Furniture (gently used; no rips, stains or tears)

    • Loveseats

    • Sofas (no oversize or hide a bed models)

    • End Tables

    • Nightstands

    • Dressers

    • Dining tables (for 2, 4, 6 or 8)

HOMELESS OUTREACH items needed (purple are most needed):

  • Men’s clothing & shoes:

    • jeans/pants (sizes 30-40, any length)

    • shorts (all sizes)

    • underwear (M, L, XL; NEW only)

    • shoes (sizes 8 and up)

    • Sandals, Flip Flops & Slides

  • Women’s clothing & shoes:

    • underwear (sizes 5-9; NEW only)

  • Travel-size ONLY for hygiene kits:

    • deodorant

    • body soap (liquid only)

    • hand sanitizer

    • sunscreen

  • Back packs or small rolling suitcases (adult-sized)

  • Drinks: water, soda, tea, Gatorade, Propel, etc. (12-16oz)

  • Prepackaged Foods (must be individually wrapped):

    • peanut butter crackers, chips, cookies, fruit snacks, Vienna sausages, Slim Jim’s, breakfast bars, etc.

  • Ziploc Bags (gallon or quart sized)

THINGS WE DO NOT ACCEPT:

  • anything stained, broken, ripped, damaged, or missing pieces

  • used underwear & socks

  • torn, stained, dirty clothing

  • stained, dirty, old mattresses

  • heavily used, worn, scratched pots, pans, skillets

  • infant, child car seats unless NEW or less than 1 year

  • large, oversized furniture including desks and king-size beds

  • sofa sleepers or hide-a-beds

  • tube TVs, big-screen TVs

  • China hutches, formal dining sets

  • tents, sleeping bags (we refer these to partner organizations)

Property 2 - We are seeking a 2-4 bay automotive repair facility to support our Rides for Hope Program. It would be used to teach men & women basic automotive repairs, maintenance, and make-ready. It would also be used to provide free or low-cost auto repairs for single parents.

Capital Fund $2,360,648.00 to complete the Dream Center Warehouse/HUB (includes operating budget).
